Angus graduated from Strathclyde University with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Finance, and previously worked as an Audit Associate for international accountancy firm PriceWaterhouseCooper. He founded Let Us in 2016 and is likely to be the first contact for all enquiries day-to-day.
“I founded Let Us after being so dissatisfied with what the competition was doing. A Landlord friend of mine once described the industry as ‘a hustle’, constantly trying to avoid being exploited by agents, tradesmen and tenants alike. It upset me that someone with years of experience had resigned to expecting poor service, unreliability and outright dishonesty as the norm. I want every one of my clients to have complete faith in the work that I and my team do, and I look forward to building that relationship with you in the future.”
Karim originally hails from Egypt, before moving to the UK to attend Reading University and obtaining a 1st Class degree in Accounting and Finance. He joins us from the retail industry, previously working in regional management for a major high-street brand and now using his experience to manage relationships with our tenants in all of the properties that Let Us oversees.
“My role at Let Us is very broad. I can be organising tenant viewings one day, and meeting tradesmen to discuss damp-proofing techniques the next. Every day is totally different, and I enjoy how the job is as challenging as it is rewarding.”
Over time Let Us has been able to collate a list of professional, reliable and affordable contractors to carry out maintenance on behalf of our clients. The typical process when searching for these tradesmen and women is to tender a job that needs doing to a variety of firms, and then selecting a provider based on price and existing reviews. We have then gone on to retain the details of the very best, and now have excellent contractors covering everything from window cleaning and glass replacement through to full electrical rewires.
Where necessary, we only ever use contractors who are accredited by their respective trade bodies (such as the NICEIC or Select for Electricians, and only Gas Safe registered engineers for boiler and gas) to give you total peace of mind.
